Dometic Penguin ll

I bought one of these to replace the original that was impaled by a tree limb.
I have read about getting a new thermostat, making sure the dip switches are in their proper position, etc.
currently, I have the 5 button thermostat.
Since my eyes are already crossed with the thought of insuring everything is in its proper place, I would appreciate a
Little education to help this old man out.
I had 4 Cruisairs with their own thermostats in the Prevost. I have 3 original penguins in the coach with 1 thermostat.

Oh my,  The new A/C will not work with the 5 button stat.  So, you can carefully put the old board in the new A/C.  Or, get two new boards for the two old A/Cs.  The new A/C wants the 10 button stat.

There are wiring challanges with changing the boards that I do not know the answer to.  AND, drip switches have to be right to get the Aqua Hot controlled properly.

Let us know how it all works out.  Wish you the best sorting it out.

If you get the new Dometic thermostat it will have 2 zones and timers your, bathroom would have its own zone. When the new boards are installed 2 of your A/C's will go to one zone.

I believe what you need is a Dometic CCC2 TO CCC Power Module Board Conversion Kit.
It is a board that'll allow your new AC to communicate with your older style 5 button thermostat. It completely replaces the CCC2 currently in the new AC.

Three years ago I did this conversion on our coach. We had to replace the bedroom AC unit, which required board change so it would function with our 5 button thermo.

Fast forward 1 yr and I replaced the LR AC. I had a choice, change board in LR AC and continue using 5 button, or purchase 10 button and swap out boards in the now 1 yr old BR AC. I went with new 10 button Thermo. In hindsight, it would have been easier for 'me' to just replace both AC units and switch to 10 button thermo all at same time.

Wish I still had the old conversion board to send you, but I don't know what happened to it.

Rudy, your idea to use old CCC board in new AC is one I wish I had thought of 3 years ago. I could have saved money by not purchasing a conversion board.

I may have a good idea but I do not know the wiring changes that make the old board work in new A/C

If you are ordering a new thermostat I would go with the micro-air.  I think you would be happier. Easier to operate, has schedules and has phone app.

If I am not mistaken, MIcro-Air works as a replacement for only the 5-button air conditioners. Not sure about the newest A/Cs designed for 10-button.
