Generator starter

Anyone have part number and resource for generator starter 1996 U270?

Don't have the part number but did you consider going to a starter rebuild shop. I had starters rebuild many time.  most time it's just  replace brushes  and bushings and an hour labour if you can't find one on line go to an auto part store they would probably point you in the right direction or a auto salvage place. Just a suggestion.

Search by the generator's model number. I found one for mine on ebay.

My Isuzu engine book has this # 8970489660 and superseded with #8970489662 for the starter. Now this book is from 97/98 so do some checking as these numbers may not be the latest ones as Isuzu is bad about changing numbers every couple of years for the same part. Amazon, eBay, or local small equipment dealer will be the place to hunt.
