LPG alarm replacement for 1988 Grand Villa

Have tried replacing current alarm with what is available new today, unfortunately they do not turn my propane shut off valve as the original one did
Any suggestions?

Joe,

Welcome to the Foreforum.

You are correct.  Code for a number of years has not required that the propane sensor/alarm turn on/off the propane valve.

Most just remove the valve.

If someone is aware of a current propane sensor that also communicates with the propane valve, hopefully they will post it.

You probably don't even have to remove it. Mine just failed open when the wire was cut.

Ours was removed, no need to replace, IMO.
