AH boiler antifreeze

Is the a substitute for RV Boiler Antifreeze?  Mine is the pink stuff.

Mike,  There are two pink boiler antifreeze gallons, Camco and Starbrite.  Either one needs to be cut 50/50 with distilled water.

If it is the same as your engine it is probably the --oat-- kind Organic Acid Technology you dont want to mix with other kinds of antifreeze the chemical compounds don't play well together.  You would need to completely purge the system of what you have before putting something else into system

Mike, your year coach didn't come with the pink from the factory. As Chris stated they can't be mixed. Unless you know the Aqua Hot had been flushed before putting in the pink you I believe you should flush it and put the factory oat type back in it. That way you only need one type of coolant to keep for refilling if needed.

Our AH of the same vintage also has pink/red fluid as does the engine.  The records don't say what was put in the AH when the fluid was changed, but would have been engine coolant originally.  When I get that far down my list of stuff I want to do, I'll be flushing both and filling with Peak Final Charge Global which is readily available at truck stops, Walmarts, auto parts stores, etc., so easy to get on the road if needed.

Older heaters can use engine antifreeze while newer ones need GRAS boiler fluid.  Look at label on overflow bottle to tell which one
