Tag Air Lift Block

Used tag dump switch to shimmy into a narrow campsite at Goose Island SP.  Now tag lift exhaust solenoid stuck open.  We are going to plug the exhaust port which is threaded we think 1/8 NPT.  Are the solenoids on the rear of the block replaceable or do you have to replace the whole shebang?

Just to clarify - you dumped the tag, got parked, then re-aired the tag but it's leaking with the tag dump switch back in normal position?

Have you tried cycling the tag dump switch (just in case it's the switch and not the solenoid or valve plunger)?

The individual solenoids valves are replaceable (and should be rebuildable with one of Tom's plunger kits)

Yes, fairly substantial leak but engine air keeps up with it and does purge at 120 psi.  Have tried a number of recycle attempts with the switch.  Now looking at options for getting home (200 miles) .  The plug seems to be best for now.

Thanks

Pretty sure it's just 1/8 NPT threaded in the block.

Yes, it is 1/8 NPT.  Appears to be working. No noise or leak with plug in.  Who is the contact person for the rebuild kits for the solenoids?  I thought that 2003 model tags were lifting.  The manifold says Tag Lift but have not seen the tire lift like on our previous Country Coach.  I heard previous years the tag dump switch just lost pressure in airbags but had no lifting mechanism.  Our coach has a labeled tag dump switch.  Is it supposed to lift?

Thanks

Contact Tom McCloud directly via email (tom@newellgurus.com).  Tell him what you need and he will advise you of his current inventory and price of kit.

Sorry - I don't know anything about tags, lifting or otherwise.

03 should be a lifting tag. We had an 03 and it was a lifting tag. I worked on Country Coach and their tag lifted much higher than our Foretravel.

My 03 has a lifting tag. Raises the wheels just enough to remove any pressure of the tires pressing on the road.

The '03 tag does lift slightly ('02 does not - it's just a releasing tag), but of course without the extra support when it's lifted, the rear of the coach will squat a little.
