Isolated v non-isolated electrical comnents

I have a Isolated Victron DC-DC charger that I do not need.
I think I can ground the neg charger terminals, and case, to the coach chassi and batteries and use it as a non-isolated component.

Any thoughts?

Thx

I've got two Victron DC2DC chargers installed, one isolated (18) amp and one non (30) amp. No problem using isolated, the manual provides info on how to wire it as if non isolated. Works fine.

My second (18) amp B2B replaced a dead AmpL-start charger for my start batteries. It allows me to charge the start batteries (lead acid) from the lithium house batteries in a three step charge profile while boondocking. The manufacturer of AmpL-start is out of business and mine only lasted a little over a year. It is working great. I found a switch that I could control on and off via ignition switch. When engine on, the 18 amp charger shuts down and the alternator charges start batteries normally and the 30 amp charger handles charge control for the house lithium and prevents over taxing the alternator. Seems complicated but works for me. I can monitor it all with my Victron phone App.
