Transmission won't go into gear

Sorry but trying to get on road and trying to do this on phone.  Getting a code O o-L7.  Anyone know a quick fix?

Slides in ? Cycle slides to get switches telling transmission slides are fully in.

That's not a code listed in the Allison manual  https://www.foreforums.com/MGalleryItem.php?id=942

Ignoring that code, one possibility is that the idle is too high.

Is it cold where you are?  I see this one:

0 L  7 0 - Sump fluid temperature too low.

Check this diag manual.

Thanks all.  I had tried cycling the slides but only once.  Retried and it let me drop into gear.  Thanks.  Isn't there a fuse that can be pulled to fool the tranny into believing the slides are in?

There is an override switch, but it should only be used in emergencies.  There is a reason the slides are interlocked with the transmission.

Correct. OL 7 0 is NOT a diagnostic code.  It means the transmission is not up to full operating temperature. It means that the transmission fluid level can not be checked.

To check for diagnostic codes, you need to push the up and down arrows again at the same time.  That will bring up d-1 followed by any diagnostic code.  If there is not one, it will show d-1 followed by - -.  If there is a d-1 code, you need to scroll to the next one (d-2). Continue until you get the d-"whatever" and - -.

Let us know what diagnostic codes you get.

In the future when moving the slides in or out be sure to hold the button down until the red light goes out, it Will sound like it's binding up, but continue holding it down until the light goes out.
