Wheel seals opinion

I am planning my PM repairs for this upcoming spring. Part of which will be brake pin service.

When it comes to wheel seals (meaning the rear ones that mount onto the shaft, not the front cover and red cap side), what seems to be the general opinion?

1. Replace them due to age even though they are not leaking.
2. wait until they start leaking, possible causing issues on a trip.

Either way,get the parts to have on hand,I would wait til they leak,when they do leak the oil will not be pouring out but will be seeping,why are you not concerned about the front,they seem to leak the most?

Well Ive read several post about be sure what you have in there before you get the parts. Is it a proven fact they will only weep, not heavily leak when they start?
The front/outer covers are new.

I am just thinking while I am on the front end, tire off, brakes off, replacing air bags and shocks, might as well go ahead and do the only major thing that I know nothing history about.

If it were mine I would leave the seals be. As long as the wheel bearing adjustment is right those seals last a looong time. If you do replace them be sure to use the proper seal driver, or you Will damage the seals .
