Chassis Lubrication

Two questions about chassis lubrication:
1. The page from the owners manual indicates three places on the steering column extension and one on the steering gear input shaft.  I have lubed the normal spots but was unable to locate the four zerk fittings associated with the steering gear.  Can anyone help with exactly where these are located or accessed?

2. In the photo, do both of the zerk fittings that are circled require the clay based grease or is the one on the left OK for regular grease?  (The photos are of the left front brake looking upward and aft.)

The one one the left is the slack adjuster and it uses ordinary grease.

The one on the right takes clay base grease and if you are going to grease it there is another one directly in line with it that you would also grease with the clay base grease. If you do that, then you need to purge the excess grease.

Yup, do NOT grease the brakes until you completely understand the proper grease, where to grease and most importantly, how to purge the excess grease.

Just greasing like a suspension zirk often leads to brake failure as the pads can not retract properly.

As far as the steering wheel grease fittings you may/should have 1 just below where the shaft comes through the floor. If you take the cover off the column you should have 1 on the U joint where the wheel tilts. On the old wheels the collapsible section had a fitting but yours won't.  So you should have 2. I wouldn't worry about them until I got to 250K as they are not abused and are kept clean inside the coach.
