Intellitec Hell

Hi, I'm having an issue with the Intellitec system in my 2003 U320 and was wondering if anyone here might have some insight to what could be going wrong.

As of right now, none of the three panels are working to function the ancillary lights (located under the cabinets, in the vanity, around the bedroom, etc). Pressing the buttons doesn't work to turn on any of the lights.

I checked the system beneath the fridge and all the fuses are intact. I located the breaker that powers these lights as well, flipped them on and off, and nothing. The other fixtures powered by the same breaker, such as the tv, are functioning.

I did just replace the house batteries and alternator. Right before replacing them, I noticed the green lights on the panels flickering and some of the lights turning on and off, before shutting down entirely. Likely as the battery drained. Not sure if this could have had an impact.

Tried looking through the archives but don't see anything about the whole system not functioning despite having intact fuses. Not sure if anyone might have any insight to this

I don't know if this will help you not knowing your system. Another Foretravel owner offered this information.

I'm getting a 403 as well.  Checking with the database gatekeeper.

When we were having issues with this system, it was one of the little buttons that was stuck in the depressed position. Pulled it out with tweezers- and the system worked

OK, the link was for the old media gallery (it pointed to the Foretravel Manuals section), but didn't have any Intellitec lighting ones in it.

Steve poked around, found some files, and created this section in the Manuals section.  It includes other Intellitec devices, not just the lighting but also the porch light module.

Low voltage can cause this system to malfunction.

I would try to disconnect and reconnect the battery and see if the system resets. I don't recall if the main controller is powered off by the Salesman switch. I have to move the motorhome tomorrow so I can take a look and see what LED indicators should be on in a normal state on the controller. Its possible that you aren't getting any power to the system at all.

@CNOSE have you made any progress with this? I'm in a similar boat. None of my panels are doing lighting or doing anything and I have the panels with the smaller buttons. What I'm reading online says to reset the input module but I can't find that either...

I've got to '97 class an output modules under the fridge but no input module anywhere as far as I know. Im not even sure where all the panel wiring harnesses are running back to because it doesn't appear to be the output modules.

Any pointers would be appreciated if you've made progress.

I would say the light switches are the input modules. The modules that control the lights is the output modules

I was having a similar isssue and contacted M&M. They said they don't repair the '97 systems anymore because they will just fail again, it's just a matter of time. I was quoted $2500 for a replacement system from them with programming and that's with me doing the install. FOT quoted $5k to upgrade the system, installed.

I ended up ripping out the old '97 system and installing an auxbeam 12 output system from Amazon. I can now control 12 circuits with a remote or an app via Bluetooth. It was $250 and about 30 minutes of work. I'll post links and pictures a little later showing the install.

Also, the '97 system does not have an input module. Everything is controlled by the "output modules".
