Stop Leak - Ugh!

First off, I again want to Thank the Forum for again helping to solve issues on my Coach.
I especially want to Thank Scott ( DSD ) and Greg ( Mister Ed ) for their assistance and knowledge.  Scott and I spoke and his troubleshooting is what solved my problem and Greg's previous post about his transmission cooler guided me to my fix.

My issue was that all of a sudden, my trans temp was running about 20 higher than the coolant temp, and my coolant temp was higher than normal.  What I thought was a fan issue ( I posted asking about my fan controller ) turned out to be a trans cooler issue.

The issue............Trans cooler was totally clogged with Stop Leak.  I had a very minor leak that I noticed last year. I added the Stop Leak and tightened the side gasket bolts on the radiator and the leak stopped.  Great ! or so I thought.  My next trip is when the higher temp issue started.  What I thought was the fan, Scott said to check my Trans Cooler for clogs.
Sure enough, after draining, 15 gallons of radiator fluid and 5 gallons of trans fluid, getting all the fittings and connections loose, wrestling the cooler out and WOW, totally clogging with a very thick layer ( about 3/8" thick ) of what I would describe as thick felt like material.

See the pics below, I wish I had taken a shot of the clogged cooler, but I didn't think about it until it was clean.  That material is literally like a felt cloth. Got it all cleaned up, I will be flushing the system tomorrow, a then servicing the trans filters, putting in all new fluids, then the road test.
I am 100% positive that this was the heating issue.  Thanks again to all for their knowledge and help!  Scott, hope that knee is healing well.

Beware of the Stop Leak !

P.S.  I was able to call and cancel the order for a new cooler ($2200) I had placed. My old cooler is fine now that it's cleaned out

Thanks again Forum!!!!!

Mark glad to hear it worked out. I"m still interested in going to the bigger cooler. Other fires to deal with so it will wait, however I 100% like Mr Eds suggestions in replacing that cooler.  Next will be the return of the radiator leak the stop leak was put in there for. LOL. I'm on day 7 of knee replacement so it's almost tolerable.

Scott, That's the route I was headed after speaking with Cindy at Kelvion.  Now though, they make a direct replacement so you don't have to change the end bonnets on the cooler.  The bad news is since Mister Ed changed his the price has skyrocketed, but what hasn't.
If my cooler was bad, I was ready to go that route.
