Armchair mechanic suggestions:  Might try pulling the solenoid wire harness connector plug apart.  Make sure it is clean and dry inside, pins straight, etc.  Reconnect the plug and be sure it is locked tight.  As I recall, solenoid needs higher voltage to pull rod up, then lower voltage to hold the rod up.  Also, check the linkage on the injector pump fuel lever to be sure it is not binding or stiff.

I had one one my Monaco that the pull in winding worked sometime and then the next time it
wouldn't work and the I needed to pull it in by hand. It worked like that for about a year and
then finally quit. There is two sets of windings in the solenoid, pull in winding that gets the
power from the starter and the hold in winding that gets power from the ignition.

I've had a Larry B for 18 months. Working like a champ. Previous replacement from Amazon only lasted a year and then the hold in coil failed.
