Refrigerator roof cap with fans

A few years ago someone posted a picture of a roof vent cap with fans in it. It was for a Dometic absorption refrigerator. I'm trying to find one now but I can't remember the manufacturer. Anyone remember that?

Scott,

Haven't seen you on here in a while.

Are you talking about the one with built in solar panel? If so they were/are Camco

Mike

Well I just went out and checked for a part number but no joy. I can't find the one like we have only the ones that have the solar panel and a separate fan that goes in the flue.

I don't remember a solar panel. I think it had three little propeller fans under the roof cap. It was pretty nice and I should have ordered one... but now I can't find it.

I just zip tie two 12 VDC computer/muffin fans to the top of the absorption cooling fins exhausting UP.

Ran them from a switch over the sink area.

They pull so few amps that there was no issue using the positive for the lights/light switch over the sink.

Scott,

Yes that describes ours. But we have 2 fans and a solar panel that is about 4" wide and 10" long.

I don't see it on the Camco website.

I used from Amazon
Titan 12V DC Double rack ventilation cooling fan w/ speed controller. Speed controller has auto (temp) or manual. Put a switch in refridge bay to take unit out of the loop for storage etc. Made a couple brackets and zip ties. Piece of cake. Works great.

We're using the same one. Controls are in the cabinet next to fridge.  Also a manual or automatic mode.
Originally I also had fans at the vent below also but Brett shared that the top fans would be more effective and the ones on the bottom might actually cause turbulence, so bottom ones are off.
I would buy them again though. They have held up well.

I have a propeller fan in the roof cap already, but I moved to a hot climate and I know I need more. I have a little centrifugal fan on the condenser fins too. I have a big skinny propeller fan that I can put on the door but I don't think it works as well as pulling air out the roof cap.
