Ouch

What happens when a housing nut comes loose and gets where it doesn't belong in the generator.😬😬

Is that the generator section you just replaced not long ago?

1993 U280 SE 40' WTBI, Build: 4359
C8.3 300hp, 6-Speed, Exhaust Brake

Time was, a lock washer and a nut held stuff together.  This is just a case of bad juju  And how did that little rat b&***8d find its way in?

Seems like you had a previous thread on this generator rebuild.  Maybe the Mods could merge them?  Barry so sorry about your troubles.  I know i felt that way when i had to re-re-build my steering gear (the second time)... albeit a lot less money.

On the up side, you now have a experience working on the generator.

 1997 36' U295 Sold in 2020, owned for 19 years
  U240 36' Sold to insurance company after melting in garage fire
    33' Foretravel on Dodge Chassis  Sold very long time ago
