Repainting the rear vent and step and area

I was unhappy with the back vent as the paint was falling off so I repainted it and repainted the step and the
area around it. The vent took a lot of work but it looks  good now.

I did all my grills a few years ago. I chemically stripped two and had one carefully sand blasted, primed with aluminum primer and then painted. It was a lot of work.

I've been wanting to re something my CAC / radiator grill but I felt I'd need to take it apart to do it right. It's pop riveted together.  Thought about powder coating it for durability or chroming but that might look weird??
Now I often wait for a couple reasons to do something and it's been a few years since I had the air cooler off for repairs.  And washed the radiator dirt and leaves out.    It's probably time, and paint the grill while I'm at it. I always overcomplicate stuff.

I had to drill the pop rivets out and I used stainless screws and nuts to replace it and my
side vents are in good shape and they are both screwed on with screw clips.

I offer the following caution: put a piece of steel backing plate behind the rivets when drilling them out. Don't even ask ....

Peter everything looks good. I had extensive corrosion inside my step. I definitely recommend everyone drilling a drain hole in the Fiberglas visible in the retracted position so as it will drain being it spends 98% on its life extended collecting water. Being extended I also sealed every seam and pop rivet to help prevent condensate or rainwater from getting inside

How is the step fiberglass removed for painting?  Thanks

I didn't remove the fiberglass just masked it off and first painted the step with box paint
and the the white. My fiberglass fell off when I first got the coach, luckily at home, and I re-glued
it on.

What color of white did you find that matches your gel coat?

This Krylon spray paint Gloss Enamel White matches the gel coat perfect in my eyes.

The paint code I used is WA8554 but is not exact as you can see from the picture and on the left
is what I used for a repair and I didn't feel like painting the whole back. If there is a different panel
beside I can't tell the difference.

Brought our coach to an automotive paint shop, parked outside the store, they brought out a scanner took a number of scans , then mixed a quart of paint that was a perfect for $68.
