Thermostat in wetbay

Does the Aqua Hot need to be on for there to be heat coming out of the fan in the wetbay.

Just noticed this morning that the fan is running but only blowing cold air. My Aqua Hot is off.

Yes it has to be on. It uses the bathroom pump to get heat.

Turn the thermostat back to "0" and it should shut off the fans on the radiators. Several of us have installed a separate on/off switch and leave the thermostat set.

I discovered that even turning the thermostat down to zero does not even turn  the fan off. In discussion with Rudy, he advised to pull the C and D fuses from the AH which solved the issue of the fan in bay running.  This also negates the fans in the living/bedroom/ bathroom as well though.... I switched the thermostat to basic home 2 wire thermostat which has an off switch. I have not tested it to see if i do not have to pull fuses yet but come spring i will test and comment then

If you are not in sub zero temps something is wrong with the thermostat or stuck relay.

Is the thermostat inside also turned off for all zones? Maybe that is also calling for heat even though the heat source is turned off.

The problem is the fan keeps running with no heat going to the fans.  I like Mike's idea of putting
a on/off switch in and I will do that for mine when it warms up that I don't need the fan.

To be specific, the wet bay fans will run whenever the temperature sensed in the bay is colder than what's set on the wet bay thermostat, REGARDLESS of whether aquahot switch is on or off, AND, REGARDLESS of the thermostat setting in the bath.  You can run the setting down to zero, but if it get's that cold, the fans will still run.  As some have suggested, you can wire in an SPST on/off switch to one of the wires to the thermostat in the wet bay so the fans don't run constantly when it's cold and the aquahot is cold.

Thanks for the replies, I don't live in a particularly cold region. Based on the explanation of how the thermostat works in the wet Bay, I moved thermostat to a lower temp  and the fan shut off. We don't get below freezing here very often and in the past when the forecast calls for that I turn the Aqua Hot on anyway.
Isn't the idea that the thermostat should be set around 32 so the water doesn't freeze?

I set mine to 38 degrees.  I was wanting some buffer incase the heat didn't make it every where

I full time, so have mine set at 50 with aquahot on.  Keeps the tank warm and the cold water less painful to wash hands in!!!
