Sentinel hub seal

Got new tires and while hub caps were off, I checked oil level.  Oil is at add level on both side.  The cap says "Do not remove ". I tried pulling twisting and not budging. Got any ideas?

I haven't serviced mine yet to confirm, but it should have a drain and fill plug on the side of the hub.

You are correct.  Of course it's on the bottom now.

Can you not use a small screwdriver to pry up an edge to get hold of on the orange rubber plug would save moving coach until the fill plug is on top.

You are supposed to fill through the rubber plug, no need to use the plug on the side except for draining.

I have always filled through the red rubber plug. (2003 Foretravel)  Go slow on the add and let it settle.

Looks like that Stemco Sentinel is not to be removed and only filled from the hub fill plug.  In the TQMManual attachment there are a few tech tips far down in the document that may help.  The sell sheet just mentions its a sealed unit and the plug should not be tampered with.

The plug is hard plastic. It does not give, I have tried prying, turning, pulling and it is solid.  I thought I was going to break the hard plastic plug.  It is not like the tag axle where I pull a rubber plug out.

I was able to do drivers side. Had to cut an allen wrench down so I could get it in the plug without hitting the tire rim.  The plug has a magnet on it to catch all of the trash in the oil.
