Audit Monitor/Backup Camera

On the 1993 U240, is there a source for the Audit Monitor CRT screen or one of equivalent size? My monitor is dead, so no tank or electrical system monitoring, and no backup camera.

Thanks.

Many of us have removed the old black and white crt and then attached an aluminum plate with VHB tape to serve as a mounting surface for a color 7" LCD screen that has a composite video signal. You will need a BNC to composite RCA style video plug for the new monitor. Then if you end up upgrading your rear view camera you will be set.

That might be the way to go. While I'd like to keep everything original, that old style monitor might be something that warrants modernizing. So far I am unable to find replacement parts to replace the existing installation.

I think it will be impossible to find a new 4:3 aspect LCD or CRT that will fit that space, everything seems to be 16:9

There are small 16:9 displays, search for Raspberry Pi RPi displays, there are many available.  Those will be HDMI but you can use an adapter.  For example LCDs / Displays – 52Pi Store  Perhaps you could mount a small 5" 16:9 in a frame and mount that in the 4:3 opening?

If wanting to remain historic, perhaps someone who has removed an old unit would share/sell it.
