Trash Compactor Bags

I'm trying to figure out who makes a trash compactor bags that actually fits our 1992 trash compactor 🤪. So far what we have found is just close enough to make you think it will fit but small enough to frustrate me to no end. Did trash compactors get smaller before they went out of style or did they always fit like a glove that's two sizes too small?

I had good luck with these bags.  Still some stretching involved but they stay in place.  I believe I bought them at a Home Depot.

What ever happened to trash compactors?  Did they go out of style in the 1980's along with the intercom systems in houses?

Trash cans got bigger. They don't have to care.

Used to be the galvanized ones and now the big plastic type.  Also half of it in some states goes to recycling.

We use a regular 13 gallon trash bag and hang it it on the leading edge of the draw.

Thank you everyone. I'll be glad to have something that works better than what we have tried so far.

It is interesting how the trash compactor has gone away for the modern kitchen. It is helpful in our coach with limited floor space for things that will just float around on travel days.

we just changed out our trash compactor at home for a ice maker.  Use that every day and found that the trash compactor was not getting the use it needed to make sense.  I am building a motorhome now and thought about it but decided again on an ice maker.

In our last home I found the trash compactor to be the handiest appliance in the kitchen and I miss it. Our local trash company dumps the recycles in the same truck anyway no money in it.  Jim.
