Joey bed mounting bolts

my Joey bed slides out either side in my large basement bin. the weight limit is 800 lbs. Yesterday I had it slid out on the drivers side trying to fix something on the passenger side. the bolt under the roller (see circle in pic) pulled out of the floor, but luckily didn't rip out the opposite side bolt. I had some weight on the side cantilevered out. I'd like to thru bolt it to underneath the bulkhead with a piece of flat metal to distribute the load so as not to rip out the bulkhead. Is this a good or bad idea? Any advice is happily received. TIA

I don't see why not do it like you have planned.  We will see what others say.

Best answer (did this 20 year ago) is to drill out from above with a 2" diameter from in the basement.  Drill through the basement layer of FG and into the foam insulation.

Using a hole saw, cut out a piece of plywood the same thickness as the insulation. (two pieces stacked is fine).

Epoxy the plywood in place.

Through bolt with a 2" X 2" or larger backing place underneath.

The problem with only a backing place is that you are still relying on the very thin filon to provide side to side strength-- not going to happen.

Brett, just to confirm, after making the 2" circular filler and epoxying that in, thru bolt to underside of bulkhead? Mike

Yes.  So from the top:

Bolt, metal frame of the Joey bed, basement floor FG, epoxied wood plug, underside FG, backing plate (with polysulfide sealant) and nut.

The epoxied plug is a HECK of a lot better at handling the side thrust of the Joey bed than the two thin layers of FG and foam sandwich.
