Kubota Air Filter - How to detach the canister

I changed the oil and filter on our Powertech 10kW Kubota engine today and would like to clean the air filter.  Is it necessary to detach the canister to take the air filter out?  The Kubota manual doesn't help for this type of installation.

I've searched FF and Google.  From one video, it seemed that I should be taking the air filter out of the back of the canister.  Does that make sense for those with similar units?

With the generator out like you have it there is plenty of room to take the filter out the back. Just loosen the wig style bolt to make the clamp band to come loose. Once the clamp band is loose the cap will come off and this will give you access to the wing nut that holds the air filter in place. Remove this wing nut and the filter will just slide out.

The one I did last week like that used a Wix 42276 but double check that is the correct one for the element can you have.
