My First RV!

Hello everyone!!

Today, I purchased a 1994 U-240 Grand Villa.  She has about 125k miles and seems to be in excellent shape, which I can try to verify tomorrow when I see her for the first time.  I bought her at an online auction in the Sacramento area, but fortunately, I have a friend that was in the RV business for many years and believes this one is solid.  I will be happy to post more after we are formally introduced, but I'm pretty excited to take delivery.  From what I can see in about twenty pictures the previous owners who donated it to the auction took very good care of this beautiful RV.  There's a relatively new (2017 I think) Onan RV QG 3600 LP, new carpet I think, the engine sounds very good and it's just really clean inside.

Welcome, Dan.

There a couple of us here on the ForeForum with a lot of hands-on experience with the U240.  Let us know how we can help.

As you probably know, the OE generator was a 6.3kw propane unit.

Welcome, Dan,

Hope you find the new-to-you U240 to be all you anticipate.  Link below lists the OEM specs for that model, to use as basis for comparison.  Good Luck!

My pick-up is now delayed until Monday b/c my transportation driver had family issues.  No worries though, but I'm pretty excited.  Thanks for all the nice comments!

BTW - does this model typically have a floor safe?

This all sounds like so much fun!  A purchase can be a cold and clinical procedure, or it can be an adventure.  Our coach came to us from a phone call from a dealer, a (no BS) older couple that took good care of it but could no longer use it, and literally changing directions at the next interstate exit to go see it.

No doubt there will be lots of joyful surprises and some disappointments when you start going through the coach.  The Foretravels are worthy of the attention, and moreso when it is your own!

When we went to check out our current coach. I knew the seller- Roger Burke. He was in the process of moving to a house and had about 6 monitors in there because he had so many computers.

Yes, built into the floor in front of the passenger's front seat. If you have carpet there, there will be a small panel that you raise up to see it.

For a better ride, store all your gold bullion there.

I kept ours full of Texas air. That air was so big there wasn't room for anything else.
