Closet slide not closing completely

So last weekend when we were getting ready to leave the park we noticed the closet slide did not close completely. The front was closed all the way but the back was open about a 1/2 inch. We could drive with it and we didn't have far to go to get home. The next day we were doing the annual hand wash and wax and inspection of everything we can think of to check. When we looked at the slide from the outside, in tunnel of the bottom of the slide we saw some mushed up rubber. We removed and wondered it that is what caused the problem. Unfortunately, it was not. I am not sure if it is supposed to be in there of if it was just caught in there somehow. If anyone can tell me if it supposed to be there or not I would appreciate it so I can get a replacement and put it in correctly.

Anyway the problem turned out to be a pin in the bracket that slides the slide out. The C clip popped out the pin fell out also. I had a problem putting it back together because the hole on the bracket was messed up from whatever caused the c clip to let go. In any case after some straightening with a needle nose pliers and some drilling to round the hole out again everything went back together without having to pull the slide which is what I was really worried about.

I think the track has a guide.. Could have broken and stopping from closing all the way.. I know the living room has one and assume the closet does if it has the track.
