repair facilities

Have discussed with a few people on this forum of attempting to start a list of repair facilities you would recommend to the group...I have been in quite a few...most are good, some are worthless...yet, I don't want it to turn into a bitch site so think we should keep it to just the ones you would recommend....  Anyone with ideas or thoughts please lets see if we can get something together.

There is quite an extensive list at
http://rvservicereviews.com/Index.asp
and they have them mapped out on a google map to see what is in your area.

Barry,

Thank you.  I am always amazed on how much you know and more importantly, where to find it...I have used that site and found very little that was useful.  Believer MOT and FACTORY have 1 review each...

Now that I have read my post again probably makes very little sense to try to do that.  Probably tens of thousands of repair shops just in the USA...  Next time I post I will have DW look at it first.  Or Kent Speers, since he knows less than I do....

No reason we cant have another list that is geared more to our needs.

I was just offering another resource.

If anyone needs help with repairs all over the country, its Jeff. Would you believe he was able to destroy a harmonic balancer in the middle of nowhere Texas this spring. It left us in a dirt parking lot waiting for his part for a week. Has anyone else destroyed a harmonic balancer. How does that happen?

I have used this service and have used a couple of dealers/repair facilities listed.  I ALWAYS post a report of my service experience.

With this web site up and running it seems like we would only be making extra work to start our own list.  Whenever someone here reports a good or bad service experience, I save the email for future reference.

Yes, and when it happened, a rod went thru the block of a Chevy 327 and then thru the inner fender and impaled itself into the tire of the car sitting beside me.  Just try to explain that to the insurance company.  Think the harmonic balancer just died of old age.  The 327 was in a '59 Apache 31 4x4.  Was not orginal to that pickup!  It was one nice pickup!
