Restoring a '93 U300 - Where the heck is the ______???
Hi Folks,
My first post here. We just bought a '93 U300 GV in April and it needs a lot of TLC (and it is getting it now). I have done numerous improvements including LED lighting (even built my own fixtures), satellite radio, new charging system, batteries and isolator, all new wool carpet, faux wood flooring, and reupholstering of couch, barrel, and recliner, etc.
Right now I am working on the leveling system. The leveling fault light on the dash is on constantly and never do I get a travel light, although it does seem to level out for travel when I get on the road. When I park and tell it to auto level the fore/aft leveling is backwards! (Left and Right seems OK) When the front is high, it lowers the rear! So anyway, I suspect the leveling sensor was flipped and reinstalled upside down somewhere in the past.
My main question is: Where the heck is the level sensor? I have looked everywhere I can think of: under the cabinets (even pulled out the ice maker). I pulled the drawer out from the couch and didn't see it under there either. Pulled up the false floors in the closets, looked in the bathroom cabinets, and looked in all of the storage bays. I'm totally befuddled.
Other items I can't find are the power converter/charger since I want to give that an upgrade. And I can't find the fuse blocks that serve the 12V compressor (it never gets voltage) and propane leak detector. Of course I didn't look in the wheel wells...
My coach has the angled wall where the oven is, aisle down the center, etc.
Thanks in advance for any help! I really want to bring this great coach back from the brink...
