Ladies Driving School at FOT

I am having a very productive time attending the Ladies Driving School event.  The instructors, primarily Merlyn and Jo Dean Neel, are great.  Jack and Bobbie Bradshaw are their partners and support.  This program has been evolving over the years and they work hard to fine tune it and provide a good experience for everyone.  There are 25 ladies attending classes.  The range of experience goes from Hannelore Thomas ... who has driven her own coach for years and travels the Country from coast to coast on her own ... to several first time owners who have been in their Foretravel for for about 48 hours and have never put their fannies in the driver's seat or even left the parking lot!  But today, after several walk-arounds and a good bit of classroom instruction, we all completed the 5 part obstacle course with flying colors.  I, personally, drove a 45' coach with a tag axle .... and I did not kill, crush or in any way destroy a cone.  Not bad!  Tomorrow we take to the Loop for some real traffic experience.  I can absolutely recommend this 4 day course for anyone.  They keep the men busy with some seminars, walk-arounds and a Factory tour given by James Triana ... NOT one of the salesmen.  We have toured the Factory twice before, but Jeff can attest that the tour with James handing out the information is a totally new experience.

I have learned a new bit of "Texan Technology" ..... it appears that the instruction to "mash on the foot-feed" means to "step on the accelerator".      This translation is for the benefit of any other "Northerners" or "Yankees" who may be reading this post.  Please file this bit of information for future reference.    I thank you.
