Mystery Switch on Driver Side Bay Door

While searching for a solution to a problem with the basement lights on our 1997 U295, I noticed that the front propane furnace was not running, while the rear furnace was running. When I closed the bay door, the front furnace started up. I opened the bay door, and the furnace stopped. Hmm. That's what that mystery switch is for on the driver side bay door. It is an interlock for the furnace on that side of the coach. The bay door is in front of the exhaust for the front (driver side) furnace when it is open. FT installed an interlock to prevent the furnace from toasting the door. The interlock switch on our coach is at the top, front of the door opening. It has a lever actuator. The lamps have button actuators.

If your furnace won't run, check your doors.

Yes, it is good to know about this switch.  Tyle Fore, who oriented us to our "new to us" coach last year showed me this switch and only a day or two later we had problems with the furnace.  The switch needed a small "bend" adjustment and it has been fine ever since.
