I received the HWH regulator from MOT that we need.  I am having a problem installing it.

When I spoke to Mike Rodgers he said the part was a simple screw in device.  But it is the top half of the regulator that screws on to the base.  The part made by HWH contains both the base and the screw on segment.  I can not get the base removed from where it is attached to the HWH system.  If I try any harder I am afraid that I will break something.  I have to think that if HWH supplied both segments that both segments are needed.
But maybe someone here knows the answer so I can get our slide operating and can close the small gap in the slightly deflated seal.

In the first photo you can see where the regulator was attached.  The base is still attached.
In the second photo you can see (on the left) the replacement regulator and (on the right) the top half of the old regulator with its components in a line.
I sure hope someone here knows the answer. 

Barry, No O ring anywhere.  Further examination of the new part the base has two holes that are threaded, so this tells me that the base can not be removed without removing the aluminum plate to which it is mounted.

So I am thinking that HWH supplied the regulator with the base in place because it holds the springs and diaphragm in place.

I don't see where the allen wrench goes in.

Is it possible that the regulator comes form HWH pre-set at 12 psi?

Sorry for being so dense, but this is really new territory for me. So the gauge in the photo has a place for an allen wrench to adjust the pressure?

I got the regulator installed and set at 12 PSI this morning.  The pump ran for about 10 seconds and then stopped.  Then it ran again for 10 or 15 seconds and stopped.  Then it kicked on and would not shut off.  We let it run for five minute then turned it off.  We can get the slide in and out and maintain the seal, we just have to turn the pump off manually.

I sent an email question to Parliament and will talk with Mike Rodgers on Monday.  I find all of this very discouraging.  I hate this slide.  It is nothing but a pain in the _ _ _ and a real money pit.

The aux compressor comes on & off with the pressure switch on the compressor.
Maybe you are not letting it get up to full pressure.
Without  a gauge on the compressor it is difficult to know for sure.
If the compressor keeps coming on , it usually indicates an air leak somewhere.
Try turning OFF the 2 shutoff valves above the slide manifold.
This will take out the 2 slide bladders from the air line.
If the compressor stops & stays off, you have a leak in the bladder or the air line going to the bladder.
Thats a starting point as I know you dont want to go underneath the coach.

Couple of points.  The threaded segment of the old regulator did not have any sealant or Teflon tape on the threads. I thought this was strange, but I did not use it.  Would you have used Teflon tape?

As to the shut off valves above the slide manifold.  Is the manifold the rectangular block onto which the regulator is mounted?  I will try this in the morning.
