12" of snow over the last two days, lows of 19° for the next two nights. Seems like an endless winter in Issaquah Wa.

Waiting for ours to arrive tonight here in Northern California. Have run an extension cord to power the house from our U300 as we may lose power for days. Full of fuel and propane.

Nice photos!

Pierce, we are here at Falcon Lake with Jeff and Carol. Don't let him kid you, its miserable hot. Three weeks ago we were whining because we couldn't find any place warm so we headed over here for the heat. Now we are whining because its too darned hot so we are heading for the coast. Too much heat is as miserable as too much cold. I guess we can never be satisfied. Thats the nice thing about living in a home with wheels.

Jeff,

You are entirely too close to Mexico.  Since some of those idiots over there are using .50 cals a stray bullet could come your way.  Stay safe!

Living in Maple Valley Washington I was sure there were very few Foretravels in Washington.  But after reading several posts I am wondering how many coaches are in Washington.  Also where do you go for service.
I knew when I got my generator serviced in December we would have a major power outage.  Sure enough we lost power.

You are right that we are waaaay too close to Mexico.  It is not unusual to hear gunfire from across the river (lake) and when we went to the Mission Pulgas on Tuesday, we were 90 seconds behind a spectacular car wreck where the idiot running bundles of weed in his SUV crashed into a parked car, flipped it high into the air where it then landed on top of his vehicle. He ran, but was easily captured by the swarms of Border Police and Local constabulary (plus TWO helicopters!) that responded.  Much excitement!  It was the day of the Brownsville funeral for the murdered ICE agent.  This fool thought that all the enforcement would be there and the way would be clear for a little delivery.  From the bundles in the car, he probably had 50 kilos in the SUV.  We did drive to the middle of the bridge here at Falcon Heights, parked, looked around a bit and then scampered back to the US ... "Danger" is our middle name!!  We are actually ready to leave, although it is a very nice park and the folks are great.

We are located on South Padre Island and it has been 70's in the day and 60's at night. ;D  To bad we have to leave next week, but Spring Break will be to much for us.  One more stop in Fulton Beach/Rockport for the Oyster Festival and then back home.

Warm wish's to you,
Brad

Hey Joe,
I do most of my own service work. As we are full timers all my tools are on board. My biggest problem is dealing with different rules in each campground. We serviced the transmission a week ago in TA truck stop. The longer we do this the easier it gets.
Prior to becoming full timers two years ago we were in the USVI for four years. I can't count the amount of times we were without power. I told my wife it would not be an issue in the states because, no matter what we will have power. So far not a single blackout.

All quiet at Camp Foretravel.  Temps in the upper 70s with some rain this afternoon.  Nice rainbow!  About a dozen coaches here, but the shop is very busy.

Hi Joe,
RnR RV Center in Liberty Lake, WA. is about your best bet.
We go over there from here in Oregon.  I hope that Keith is still there.  Keith was the service manager for Foretravel NW when they were at Liberty Lake, just a couple of blocks East of where
RnR is now.  When Foretravel NW closed, Keith (and part of his crew) moved over to RnR.  Keith
and Brad Laidler (who was general service mgr at Nacodoches), and James Triana in Nacodoches were the three top service oriented people that Foretravel had.  Customers used to come up to
Liberty Lake for service from Michigan and Texas and all points in between.  Foretravel had a center
in Escondido, CA and owners used to drive up to Foretravel NW for service.
Keith is a super nice guy, super knowledgable, and super fair.

Good luck,

Carol forgot to mention that we went to a bird sanctuary below the Falcon Lake dam on the Rio Grand. Shortly after we got out of the car a Border Patrol vehicle showed up with four Border Patrol agents aboard. I asked if we were safe in this location and the driver smiled and said I think you are very safe right now. I didn't know why he answered that way but a few minutes later Peggy, Jeff and I took a stroll down the marked trail only to find a platoon of border patrol agents in full battle gear hiding in the woods right next to us. I politely asked if we were disturbing anything??? and the agent snidely replied "no, just go about what you came here for". We did see a Mexican dog come down to the water on the other side of the river but nothing else. I guess our timing was not too good for the Border Patrol but very good for us. There was some beautiful birds too.
