Airforce 1 brake system

I just got a 2011 Grand Cherokee and the M&G that I have used for years on other tow vehicles is not available.  Has anyone gone to the Airforce 1 air system for their coach?

I have had one for almost four years. Works great, no issues with it and don't even know it is there when driving the toad.

I am a bit surprised that M & G doesn't have a system for your new Cherokee. I was just at their HQ earlier this week and Monty said their system could be used on any hydraulic brake system. Is there something special about the 2011 Grand Cherokee brakes?

I will also comment that the two benefits of the Airforce 1 system are that warning system that tells you when the system is activated on the towed and the air cutoff for the coach. However, the cost appears to be at least $400 more for the Aireforce 1 and possibly more due to the additional installation time.

We've had the Airforce One for a little over a year and towed about 8,000 mi.  I'm happy with it and we've had no issues.

Kent the 2011 has the master cylinder buried between the firewall and a enclosure in the engine bay.  I called M&G and said that they can't adapt to this set-up.  Their going to loose all the new business unless they modify their design.  Too bad they make a great product.

Wow, that's too bad but I think the essence of their design requires space to move the master cylinder forward at least three inches. The owner/engineer is 88 years old and I wouldn't hold my breath on seeing a new design coming from M & G. The Airforce one is probably the answer.

We had the air force 1 installed on our 06 Acura and has worked great. Small price to pay for safety.

I would have gladly gone with the M & G system, but they would have had to move our master brake cylinder.  I was not too keen on having that modification done, so we went with Air Force One and had it done at MOT. We have been very pleased with our choice. I did not want to have to move in and set up and then move out a Brake Buddy or similar device.  Got a bad back and limited storage space.
