Adjustments after the fact

On a number of occasions we have had the coach all set up and then noticed something we'd like to change.  Is there any way of doing the following:

1.  Move the coach a few feet forward or backward without bringing in the slide?

2.  Adjusting the level height to a lower position (i.e., the stairs are too high) without starting the engine?

George, since I don't have a slide I can't comment on that but as far as lowering the coach, I do that frequently. I just turn on the key and hit the lower button. Then I set the auto level and turn off the key as soon all four lights are red. I trust that is acceptable. It seems to work.

Yes, and yes.  We haven't done the former, but I believe the instructions are in the manual (I think you have to hold a button in to do it).  For the latter, I believe as Kent said all you have to do is turn the ignition to the accessory position and then you can manually relevel the coach lower (carefully).  This is probably also in the manual (from the files section, since you also have an '03 this should be your manual)

I don't have air just the hydraulic jacks but I don't think my controls work properly.  I don't have a manual.  When I power it on and hit auto the jacks move.  I have to hit auto again to complete the auto leveling cycle.  To lower, I hit store and they all retract.  I can't figure out how to do anything manually.  None of the arrow buttons do anything.

Dwayne, what you described sounds normal except the part about manual operation. On my hydraulic levelers I had to hit the on button once to get the jacks down and then the individual buttons for manual operation. If you hit the on button a second time it will auto level.
At least that's how I remember it. I haven't had that coach for a while.

Kent, I know your old/my new coach still works the same way.  Thanks for helping me, and we are enjoying it still.

George  I change my level without starting the coach. While I don't have a slide (my last coach did) I don't ever never move my coach with awnings out, bay doors open, cord/hoses hooked up, because sooner or later bad things will happen. Don't ask how I know this but I do. A slideout crunched into the evil concrete power pedestal is an ugly site I would think.
