Stove Top Corian Repair

The Corian snapped at the hinge on our stovetop. I had to cut off about 1 1/2" from the hinge side to remove the damage. In order to create "balance", I also removed 1 1/2" from the other leaf. Bought 1"x 3" walnut from Rockler. Rabbeted out 1/2" x 1 1/2" out of 1" x 3", epoxied, urathaned added hinges. Take a look.....

If you save the scrap pieces you cut off they can be used to make repairs.
