Trailer brake Controller Install

Has anyone ever installed an electric brake controller on the air brake system in our motor homes?  Is there anything different I need to do other than get power to the controller and get the brake power from the brake light side? I know there are extra wires running to the back I can get for the brake power to the trailer. Any input would be great.
Thank you,
Dave

Hi Dave,
I recently installed a electronic brake control in our coach. I'm assuming when you say you "brake power from the brake light side" you are talking about the stop light signal to the brake control. You will need to supply power to the trailer brakes from the brake control. I also had to supply 12v to the breakaway battery for charging. Is was very convenient to have the extra wires to work with.

I took the brake signal from the pressure switch under the floor (93 U280).

Thanks Bob and Dave. I'm looking to get my braking power off of the pressure switch on the floor. Having trouble finding the wires from the back to the front that are under the dash on the right side. And out the back on the right side. Same gauge and colors but not going through. Found ones that look to be right but they are not powering up when i put power on one end and check the other. I think there is somewhere else where they are separated down stairs. Still looking.
