Audit 700 System Fail
On our trip out to Inks Lake SP (really nice park by the way) this weekend my Audit monitor blew the fuse. Tried another with the same result. Thanks to a post by Kent Speers a while back it looks like the culprit is most likely the Audit CRT power supply. I know there have been multiple posts on this topic, but I still have a few questions that didn't seem to be covered in those. I've attached a few pics of the set up I have.
It seems several people have successfully changed out their monitors with aftermarket monitors, however, mine appears to have some of the switches integrated into the CRT portion of the set up.
1. I believe (at least I'm hoping) the monitor sits on top of the switch box housing the ON/OFF, Camera/Monitor, Gen Start/Stop, etc. Does anyone know?
2. In pics 2 and 3, you can see Power (RED), Coax (video input from Audit box), and gnd (BLACK). However, it's not clear to me what the brown, green/yellow, and purple are. They appear to run under the circuit board towards the front so I'm assuming they tie into the switch box housing for ON/OFF, Camera/Monitor, etc. Anyone have an electrical schematic of the Audit 700 system? It's easy enough to remove the old monitor and install a new one, but I'm going to have to figure out how I need to modify the system to interact with these three wires since they are actually tied into the CRT circuit board which will no longer be there!
3. Pic 4 and 5 are of the Audit 700 box itself. I noticed the purple is video select which implies the purple in #2 probably interfaces to it somehow, but with the removal of the CRT circuit board I'm at a loss on how to modify without a schematic or someone's experience.
4. Pic 5 lists all the pinouts. I've been able to decipher all the pins except pin 15 due to the black spatter. Anyone know what that is?
5. ON/OFF switch function - anyone know if this just turns on the CRT or is it the ON/OFF for the entire Audit system? My concern here relates to #2. If it controls power to the entire system, then I'm going to need to figure out how to modify the wiring since the CRT circuit board will no longer be there.
They could have made this a whole lot easier on me if the CRT would have been just a dumb terminal with power, gnd, and video in!
