Hydraulic Actuator Replacement

I've never worked with hydraulics before.  Just curios if you guys that have experience use some sort of plumbing paste?  I haven't had a chance to look at the fitting yet, but want to have the appropriate tools available should I need them when replacing the actuator and attaching the hydraulic hose.

No sealer used on flare fittings. Use a teflon thread sealer on tapered thread fittings.
