.pdf file

How do I insert a .pdf file in a post? Nothing I have tried works.

When you are creating the post, at the lower left hand side of the screen just below the white posting area there is a selction for Attachments and other options.  Select that and browse your computer directories to post the attachment.

I had tried that, but it included the path to the directory, and I was afraid that would not work. However, your method suggested discarded the path and so the file has been posted.
