I have both a King VuCube and a Dish HDturbo satellite dish. I checked out all the iPhone apps for locating satellites and found Satfinder works the best for me. You can select any communication satellite anywhere in the world and set up your dish to receive it. It does require a iPhone 3gs or better to be able to use the camera. Not only will it find any satellite but you can see if there is a tree or building in the way. After that, just enter the height and width of your dish and place the iPhone on the arm and it will give you the correct elevation. Good for the VuCube 1000 as it gives you south and will also show if anything is in the way. It is also the least expensive at $1.99. You do have to scroll through about a hundred satellites to find the one you need but only takes a few seconds. Good for C band, FTA or Ku Direct TV or DishNetwork.
Older VuCubes will receive HD from Dish Networks but only memorize two satellites so you have to manually push the direction button to get the third satellite.
Here is the German site. No trick to using it as the language makes no difference: SatFinder
Also at the Apple app store as one of four satellite finders.
