The sad thing is that the Service Manager really tried to resolve all this. I could understand if they just did not care but this was their best effort.
I have been in the automotive and heavy equipment service business at the retail, municipal fleet and consulting levels most of my life and if we ever screwed up you can bet we fixed it 150%. Now I am retired from all that I have a small retail business and when we make something for a customer we get it right first time. It's not just service but a matter of pride in our work, something sadly lacking in the current "race to the bottom" mentality.
