Tow Daddy towcar wiring product

We are switching to a new Jeep tow car and found a new wonderful tow car rear lamp wiring product.  No more drilling holes in lamps.  No more cutting wires and inserting diodes.  No more separate brake light behind tow car.

It is called Tow Daddy Tow Daddy - The Best Designed RV Products on the Planet.  They have male and female OEM plugs that we use behind each tail lamp.  Tow Daddy has an integrated diode control that the lamp cables plug into.  It comes with a long cable that is run to the front of our Jeep and can be plugged into a motorhome.  Wiring can be just that simple.

There has never been a product to make lamp connections at the rear of our Jeep just take ten minutes.  And I can remove Tow Daddy without any evidence that we had it installed.  There are no permanent changes to our new jeep.

I used to have a jeep cherokee. One thing that I really liked about it was it had an extra bulb socket opening in the rear lens.  I got two extra bulb socket assemblies and wired it to the front of the vehicle with the standard wiring for trailers (4pin flat plug).  I don't know what  kind of jeep you have but you may have the same opportunity.  Just a thought.

One little problem with auxiliary lights on tow vehicle is that the license plate is not always illuminated and that gives an overzealous officer an excuse to stop you.  Nit picking I know but there are nits out there.

When tow car has combined turn & stop, there is always a problem when a tow brake pushes brake pedal because tow car brake lights will 'over-ride motorhome turn signal and they will not flash as turn signals.

One of the ways around this dilemma is to add a brake relay that disables tow car brake pedal light activation when being towed.

Just found that Tow Daddy has this relay built in. This is sure simplifies wiring our new Jeep for towing.
