windshield glass problem

I am in the process of getting my passenger side windshield glass replaced.  When I looked carefully at the logo on the glass today I discovered I have Coachglass on both sides, not Guardian.  Apparently both sides have been replaced in the past since I know it comes from the factory with Guardian.  So my question now is whether to replace the broken passenger side with Guardian and have one of each or to replace it with another Coachglass since that is what is in there now.
I've only had the coach for 3 years, don't know when the windshield was replaced, but there have been no leaks as far as I know. I am told that the Guardian and Coachglass do not have exactly the same curvature.  My original plan was to put in Guardian, but I don't know if it makes sense to mix them  And if the fiberglass has been sanded or modified to make the Coachglass fit, then going back to Guardian might not be a good thing.  Anybody have any experience with this?

I have had 1 D/S replaced, and am on the 3rd P/S. Just walked out and checked the brands both are Coachglass. The second P/S W/S was very distorted, so was the replacement they brought out, it was never installed (diffrent brand). So to answer your question the CoachGlass W/S seem fine. If at all possable you need to be there during the installation.

When I was in Nacogdoches last fall, just chatting with some of the employees, they said that they average about 3 windshield replacements each week.  Cost of boxing one up for shipping was $180.  Don't take that for a fact, check with FT first, not sure if that included the shipping.  I always thought that the coach style windshields were only available from FT, but I could be wrong.

I had my DS replaced last spring and it is Guardian and they had no problem with shape. It has not leaked. The PS is Airacon make !! No leaks. The DS was replaced at a truck/coach/Bus body shop so I think they should know.

Ty's noticed awhile back that the tint color and how far down the tint extends was different was different between the DS and the PS. I just looked and our DS is Coach Glass and the PS is a Viracon... I guess that means they were both replaced at different times. No signs that there are leaks, but as the coach has just been sitting here while I work on the subframe, time will tell. How do windshield leaks manifest? Where would one be likely to first notice?

This is pertinent info for me, I need to have a cracked PS windshield replaced.  I notice that both windshields are Coach glass but noted a statement by a forum member that Guardian was the OEM glass.  Can anyone verify this?  Have also heard that there can be a variation of sizes and shapes between brands?  I'm inclined to go with whatever the factory originally used.  It's not practical for me to go to Nac as a family member requires my care so was going to go with RV glass solutions.  Thanks, Chuck

Chuck, Call NAC and ask about glass for your year.  I know from personal experience that the WS's for the GV's is proprietary to FT. Duncan Glass as the adjuster for Progressive tried to convince me otherwise and result was glass shop returning aftermarket glass and ordering OEM glass from FT in NAC. Also good idea to replace gasket with glass, at 150 bucks or so its good investment especially if glass is older.

Be aware that direct replacement windshields come with either a green tint or a blue tint across the top.  If you're not careful in getting a tint color confirmation when ordering,  you may wind up with mismatched color tones across the top of your windshield.  It happened to me.  Some have told me they never took notice that they already had mismatched tint tones even before they did the replacement.  Apparently not something that jumps out at you.  Wonder how many of us have looked to see?
