Visit to Nac costly

Hi all,

DW and I were down in the RGV last week visiting her folks and thought we might visit Foretravel to take a peek at them. The only one we had previously seen was George Stoltz's coach "Moose" when they were nearby in Maine and it was the first class A that my DW had said "I really like that coach." I knew at that point that sometime down the road IF we upsized from our current class C it would be a most likely be a Foretravel. BUT this was to be a few years down the road.

Sooo, we pull into camp Foretravel last Sunday afternoon, were promptly greeted by very helpful Foretravel owners. Next morning walked into the sales office intending to simply tour a few coach's and then head off to casino camp in Louisiana.

Fast forward to Friday, check written, belongings moved, class C consigned, we are now the VERY happy and proud owners of a 2003 36' U270. Not sure how it all happened but it did.

Now we are in foretravel kindergarten and look forward to figuring out all the things Foretravel. Fellow forecampers here have been most helpful, special thanks to Jeff and Carol for checking out the coach for us and making suggestions on what to look for, Virginia and David and Dolly and everyone else that have been extremely helpful with information and knowledge.

Anyway, we look forward to picking your Foretravel minds as we attempt to graduate to 1st grade.

Met Dean's folks last evening when I was hiking around the parking lot after dinner ... very nice folks here to check out the "new arrival" in the family. Such fun to talk to a new owner who is so happy!! Congratulations, Dean & Deidre, for pulling the trigger and getting into that really, really nice coach.

Dean & Deirdre. Welcome to Foretravel and to ForeForums. Glad to have you on board. The consensus, here, is that Camp Foretravel costs about $1000/dayl. Suspect you may be increasing that number. Oh well, maybe that will entitle you to a few "free" days, there. Congratulations!

Great news. Was fun to meet you two last week, and more than glad to help. We too thought that showroom coach was really a nice set up, and will make a very nice upgrade for you two. Hope that we can see you two again. We are planning another trip to NAC, hopefully soon enough to see you still in the area.

Congratulations and welcome. We were pleased to meet you just about the time the deal was complete. It's an exciting time. Marilyn and I admired the coach from the outside, but didn't get the chance to see the inside while it was still for sale. Perhaps we'll get to see you and the coach during your (Fore)travels.

I understand the cost factor as we were in Nac in September of 2011 and while there found a 2003 U320 that somehow ended up in my driveway. I really love it, and it also was a consignment coach so could not trade in our old coach. We have finally gotten back home so am getting our 98 u295 ready to sell. I know that you will really enjoy your new to you coach.

Are you sticking around Nac for a few days? We're hoping to be out there in the next few days (as soon as we hear from Billy Jack that Paint/Body is done with our coach) and we'd love to meet you.

Hi Dean and Diedre,

We met Camp Foretravel today. Suzy and I looked at this coach in Shrevport to buy about one year ago. It did not meet our criteria and we instead purchased a 2000 320. But we had pleasure getting 5&10 tour by the second owner.

You have lucked upon a wonderful coach. It was meticulously maintained by the second owner. If I remember correctly, the first owner, owned Morgan Pontiac and only used it to tailgate LSUS games.

You have the pilots log book hand written by the second owner. He logged evey hour he used the coach, documenting where,how and when.

He spent multiple of thousands of dollars on upgrades. The 6K each, pilots and copilots seats with massaging options are dream to sit upon. I envy the bottom that receives that pleasure going downtown the interstate.

Thanks for all your warm welcomes.
We are having a good time hanging out here at camp Foretravel getting to know our new coach and learning tips and tricks from all of you good folks.

Had a good time meeting and talking with everyone at Happy Hour yesterday. Today new drive tires going on, get a few service tweaks done and continue to try to wrap my brain around the systems.

If this is the coach in Shreveport we also looked at it. One nice Foretravel and well maintained. I thought that was it but was not sure. We really wanted a 40 footer and was the only reason we did not take it. Well maintained and really loved the new seats. Congrats on your purchase. Hope to meet you down the road. Dan and Shirley

That is a nice looking coach.

Do not hesitate to ask questions here, and you will have a few. When we purchased our Foretravel I found the forum to be an incredible source of information & help.

Welcome to the club!

Ours was a sudden decision as well. I actually saw the George had listed Moose for sale on the Escapee forum, so I emailed him about that. We actually decided NOT to buy another RV at 1st, then a few days later after seeing and reading more about Foretravels, we decided to purchase Moose.

SO glad we did!

I cannot go to Nac with Moose for a couple of years - I'm afraid we'd leave with a larger or newer rig! HA!

Dean & Deirdre welcome! My husband followed this forum for a good while and really wanted a Foretravel. At the time we had another coach. Last year when we were in the market for another motorhome I started searching for a Foretravel. We purchased ours last June and it was one of the best decisions we have made. The support, guidance and friendship that comes from this forum is amazing. We are looking forward to attending our first rally in Conroe, TX at the end of April.

Hey, great decision. I gladly take the credit for giving you the Foretravel bug, and Steve and Kathy Burnett are very glad you didn't catch the fever while we were in Maine.

Thanks George, (I think). No really, seeing "Moose" did tip the scales on brand for us.

Already renovating a little. I pulled out what little carpet that was in the bath around the toilot and replaced it with tile. Much cleaner looking and more sanitary too. The next project is to try to find black top-mount Ramco convex mirror add on's. The ones they have here in parts are chrome.

I suppose at some point I will have to drive this thing down the road but I am having too much fun playing with the coach here in camp Foretravel.

Just switch out the mirrors to chrome....BUT, ask price first and be holding onto something when they tell you the $$
