Help !!!!!!

my dad left me an 1982 bluebird, but someone stolen the batterys, can someone tell me what to buy, a heavy duty truck battery... There is 2 single battery boxs each one has a positive and one negitive top post terminals.. Are they 12v or 24v batterys

High probability that they are 12 VDC-- two 12 VDC's wired in parallel.  BUT, look on the back of the alternator-- it should state voltage.

You could also ask the question on the Bluebird owners forum.

BTW what model is it and what engine?  Is it an FC? Caterpillar 3208?

The engine model is 3208 Cat. Thats what i thought they where 12v Thanks
