on the road with Silverleaf

Help in understanding numbers ! Engine is ISC350 and I have a VMSpc installed. While on the road at 60mph and 1600 rpm the battery voltage would drop to 12.6-12.8 then rise to 14.1. The oil bar gauge dropped to yellow on the VMSpc at a different time (50-60psi at road speed & 21-25 at idle normally).  Also, what are the normal oil pressure parameters for this engine at idle and road speed. Unrelated to this event, does anyone have the high temp for trans. and what I do if it gets too high?

Josh, Since no one has made an attempt on this, thought I would offer my 2 cents.

As for the oil pressure reading, on my ISM, normal running (Highway) oil pressure is 35 psi, I asked Cummins about the low reading, was informed that the newer computer engines run less oil pressure, gives better fuel mileage and still plenty of oil supply for the engine.  35 psi is wonderful on my engine, no idea on the ISC.

For voltage change issure, I would guess there is a poor electrical connection somewhere, 12.6 to 14.1 VDC, is that a quick change or over a period of time ?

The 35 PSI reading seems to coincide with the dash gauge on my coach which is an 350 ISC while normal highway cruising.  Electrically challenged so I will let others tackle that question.

Thanks for the help! Will call Cummins and Silverleaf in AM. Oil level OK and nothing else seems different. If I hadn't had the VMSpc  there probably wouldn't be this post. Just don't feel secure traveling in remote areas until understood Ie:Mexican border.
