Speaking of club rallies: Got the following info from Larry Perkins President and wagon master for the April 26-29, 2012 rally at the Montgomery KOA RV Park. 19785 Hwy 105 West, Conroe, Texas. See info on web site

I just made our reservation. Jerry and I are very excited to attend our first rally and meet y'all! I am also looking forward to purchasing a coffee cup from the Prison Museum. I am starting a collection I got my first from the Prison in Florence Arizona.

Don't forget this Texas Rally. Go to Midsouth web site to register. There were about 40 coaches at the fall rally in Durant, so I would think that this will be a good number as well. The rally is close to Houston at Mongomery KOA close to Lake Conroe. As this will be only the second one for me I am looking forward to meeting more Foretravel owners and especially those from this forum. Dan & Shirley

I know some of you have signed up for the rally. We are going down on the 24th so a couple rounds of golf are in order. We just meet up and go play. Called the campground and scheduled the extra days and we have been assigned #57. I am not much of a golfer but I enjoy hitting it around. DAN

We intend to make this the start of our summer travels.

First to Conroe and then the MotherShip (FOT) for a little maintenance.

Then off to a COE park in CT by 1 July. Of course leisurely stops in AR, TN, VA, and the Big Apple along the way.
Schedule a little unclear after that. Marquette, MI August 12 and back to Texas first to mid OCT.

If this summer is anything like last summer we may not get back til Christmas.

Got an email from Larry Perkins President and Wagon Master for Mid South, they have 50 coaches registered for the Rally so far. So if you have not signed up now is the time. Looks to be a good one. He also indicated that Cory Rucker and two other reps from Foretravel will be there to answer questions and that a maintenance crew will come in to do work for those requiring it. Tks DAN

Marilyn and I have signed up and plan to be there. We are among the eight "rally newbies" mentioned in the notice from Perkins.

We are currently near KC, MO, enjoying some lovely weather and good family times. Today, I am one of the "WatchDOGS" at the elementary school that my grandchildren attend. (Watch DOGS are "Dads Of Good Students.") I get to rotate through classes and duties. I help out a bit and provide an adult male presence in the school where most of the leaders/teachers are females.

It's fun with little kids this week and fun with big kids at the rally next week.

Casper is loaded and ready. He has been spruced up along with his toad. We leave Whitney mid morning tomorrow (Wednesday). We will be in spot 68. Can't miss Casper. He is black and white to match our Border Collies and he sports a Casper image on his door. We always have tea, wine, and coffee. Something to snack on like Poppers. This should be fun. Our first Foretravel gathering.

Hi Brett,

I like the idea of ForeForum signs - I'm sure there are some folks attending who don't know about the forum, too, and it would be a nice way to get the conversation started.

Steve and I are in Marble Falls this week, so we won't be at the Mid-South Rally. Be sure to take pictures and post them so we can see what we're missing

Well, I'm officially bummed out now. My wife and I were hoping she would recover quickly from a recent surgery so we could make our first ever rally and meet a few more of our future RV friends. So far I've had the pleasure of meeting Steve and Michelle, and Dave and Dolly from the forum, and Richard and Shiela (1995 U-240) who are not on the forum but plan on attending the rally.

She doesn't feel well enough to go, so I'm bowing out this time. Knowing how badly I wanted to go, she told me I should just go on without her. I'm not as stupid as I look, so I didn't take that bait.

Glen I would have told my husband the same thing and meant it too. However I would have been sad to see him go on our first rally without me. Take care of each other. Next rally is just around the corner.

Arrived yesterday and on the very first spot #35. Just a word of caution for those coming South on I-45. Between Huntsville and New Waverly is road contruction and I-45 is closed and detour to service road. Took us two hours to go 4 miles (also a wreck). Others here said they only took an extra 20 minutes. Go to 75 and by pass this area. Lots of road contruction in Conroe as well. Lake Conroe is a beautiful Lake. Will get out today and look around. Golf tomorrow.

We arrived safely and look forward to meeting many of you this evening at the Mexican restaurant! It was an uneventful trip other than all the dead bugs attached to us baked on by the wind and the sun.

Cory Rucker talked to the group this afternoon. He reported that FT plans to dramatically increase the staff and number of bays devoted to service work. Bays will be allocated to quick turnaround work like oil changes. They also plan to increase staff in their renovations area. Their goal is to cut the customer's average wait time to get work started in half.

He also told us to be sure to check the web every month for specials on service and renovation work. They are currently running a special on headlight and fog light conversions.

Sales is planning to increase the size of their used motorhome inventory on site.

Congrats to Marilyn for leading the group in "GOD Bless America" Great job. As Brett pointed out, it appears Foretravel is really going to make a run at increasing service and service turn around time in all areas including paint shop. Dan
