Exhaust pipe for Onan Emerald III

In order to get the generator out I had to cut off the exhaust pipe.  I just received my Onan parts manual and it does not show an exhaust pipe for that configuration.  Any suggestions of where to get one?  FOT?  I thought about having a local muffler shop make one but I am not sure they would have pipe that small (1.5")

John, Just take the old pipe to  a local muffler shop, they can bend it to fit.

Gary, the pipe on the Oshkosh chassis GV only was an inch long before the right angle bend so I am afraid that won't work.

John. How does the  pipe attache to the generator ? Is there a bolted flange ? If so just unbolt the flange and take it with you, muffler shop can weld the pipe top the flange. Take a picture for us, has to be a solution.

My exhaust pipe broke off where the pipe goes into the muffler body on my OnanIII. I unbolted the flange/short pipe from the generator body, took it to a body shop where they welded it back onto the muffler. This was over a year ago and it is still holding. I've been intending to try to locate another muffler but been kind of busy with the kitchen flooding (after midnite) when the hot water supply hose ruptured just before the hose fitting on the washer. Then, have replaced the "ball," shaft, teflon gasket, and rubber gasket under the toilet in our GV. (it wouldn't hold water anymore)

I wish there had been a flange.  The whole reason for having to cut the pipe off was that someone had used a u-bolt clamp to hold the exhaust pipe on and had overtightened it to the point that the clamp had made a deep valley in the muffler outlet as well as the clamp and there was no way to get it open enough to remove, see the attached picture.  I was able to straighten out the muffler outlet a little bit with a tailpipe expander so that it is not so oval but I cannot get rid of the valley so far.

The next picture is the removed exhaust pipe.  If I was a better welder I could square up the cut end and weld a new section on although I would rather just replace it.

John, Thanks for the photo.
Next question.. How does the muffler attach to the generator manifold ? Can you take the muffler off and then go to a shop that can weld an adapter on to the muffler so that you can then attach a pipe ?

John, check out PPL---$202
All I did was Google Onan Emerald Generator and then searched within subject matter.

FWIW, I would at least take it to a muffler shop and see if they could fab one for you.  I think the size is not a big deal for them (though I did not check with my local shop).  When ever I have taken something like that in, it was not much of an issue and always (so far) less than a hundred dollars.
