120 volt or 12 volt flourescent lights?

The fluorescent lights in the bedroom of our '89 GV are pretty old and I am contemplating replacing them with LED puck lights. What do I have to do or do nothing when switching over from the fluorescent to the LEDs??

I used LED strips but you could certainly use pucks. Here is a good looking light that is also 12V so you would only have to connect it into the existing wiring and the same switch would turn it off or on. See at: Warm White LED Puck Light 2W
