Interesting 92' U300 on eBay

Interesting 92' U300 on eBay. Side aisle, white cabinets in bedroom with regular cabinet doors versus the tambour etc. (Maybe remodeled by PO?) Has ominous windshield and rear fiberglass crack issue (possibly bulkhead related, but then to me, all issues seem possibly bulkhead related :-\ ). At any rate, I enjoy looking at all the endless variety of FT's out there.

That is the most unusual Foretravel I have seen. I wonder if someone painted all of the beautiful natural wood and replaced the tambour cabinet doors. Since there are a number of unusual features, I guess it could have been ordered from Foretravel that way maybe to make it resemble the Newells of that era. It also says it has a Detroit 671 engine, not the norm for a 92 U300 and an AquaHot, very unusual in a 92 from my experience. I sure didn't like the looks of the windshield separation.

Very strange interior. The walnut and great cabinet doors were a huge reason we were attracted to Foretravels. Suspect the seller has no clue to what engine is in it and listed 6-71 by mistake. Windshield not a confidence builder is it? Neither is the crack.

Not a bargain at any price.  Strongly suspect both front and back bulkheads are bad.  The interior looks like it was virtually stripped and re-done.  Wonder if it had a fire or other issue that caused a total interior re-do?

I am not so sure about some of the info in the listing... The Aquahot for one (I recently saw a U270 34' listed on eBay that said it had Aquahot. I asked the seller if they were sure, and it turns out that they had confused the engine assist with Aquahot ::) ), for another it also mentions two fuel tanks 148 gal and an additional 140gal! I have a hard time seeing where the second tank would fit... me thinks they were confusing the two fill necks with two tanks!

A 92 didn't have two fill points - only one. And Aquahot was not avail on any Unihome I'm aware of, even the last few 95 and 96 models. On a positive not, the engine was rebuilt recently... Sure would like to know its history...

On the Aquahot, I don't see the normal furnace and waterheater exterior panels.  It makes me think is really does have it.  I noticed the clear finished wood is oak.  I suspect the cabinetry painted white is walnut underneath.

I didn't see any sign of a furnace or water heater. I'm thinking this was originally a highly customized coach.

How do you know for sure the windshield has separated? I was looking at the photo and it could just be crud on the glass from rain washing oxidized paint and stuff down the glass. The Foretravel I just bought has a layer of crud that washed down the edges of the windshield making it look like it's got a windshield separation issue. I inspected it very closely and the windshield is fine. The crud just wipes off the glass with a wet rag... I'm just saying

From the photo, it is clear that the glass has substantially separated at the top from the gasket/"frame".  Structural issues are highly likely.  That dirt line is not straight/parallel to the gasket, but shows where the glass used to live.

Brett is exactly correct. That's why I try not to twist mine too much when making transitions from pavement to gravel roads when there is much of an elevation change. My dash creaks when I start to twist so I back off. I watch leveling also. My glass is perfect and I want to keep it that way.

Boy, Nothing looks right about this.  No Bay doors ? Or am I blind, Obvious floor replacement along with tables. No tambour doors would worry me, I would go with a fire rebuild or a custom commercial coach that was rehabbed.  If I was in the market I would talk with FOT and get a build sheet before I did any thing.
Interesting though.
