Foreforums recognition

Has there ever been recognition of the "Foreforums" site by the Motorcade Club on the company web site?  This a great help to Foretravel owners.  Every Foretravel owner should know of the vast network of owner experiences available here.  Tks DAN

Dan,

Since we aren't affiliated with or sponsored by either Foretravel or Motorcade and we're not a commercial entity, we wouldn't expect to see anything on the official corporate websites.

Most MC chapters have included a link to Foreforums on their chapter websites, which of course is appreciated.  Every one of you who tells another owner or prospective owner about the forum is an incredible ambassador for the community here.  After all, it's the members that make the forum what it is.  Steve builds and maintains the pens and we moderators herd the cats as best we can.

On a personal level, a number of folks at FT/FOT have thanked Steve and I for the forum when we've visited Nac.

Dan,

For about 15 years I have run a simple email list server for users of a commercial product. That list currently includes over 1200 subscribers scattered about the world. The vendor of the product is aware of the list and many of their representatives recommend the forum as a medium of communication among their clients. However, employees of that company and I are very careful to keep appropriate separation between my list server and their company. It is in the best interests of the vendor, my company, and the subscribers to maintain autonomy among the entities with various interests in the product.

Steve, Michelle, and participants in the forum provide a valuable service to Foretravel and owners of Foretravel products. The current levels of respect and separation seem very appropriate from my perspective. I offer my thanks and commendation to the managers of Foreforums and contributors to the forum. Thanks also go to folk at Foretravel who are aware of Foreforums and consider it a valuable resource that is not under their control.

I should also add that Foretravel does participate/post in the forum where appropriate.  Examples that come to mind include helping a couple of members identify the build information for a particular coach.

I will also add that at the GV in Branson there was  a lot of talk about the new forum and how responsive it was. FT was very aware of it and while they do not monitor it every min they seem to know what is going on.  The factory loves an active owners group  and we are one of the two active groups.

I do not do twitter or Facebook but Foreforum is by far my main online time. I love reading all the technical (and non) discussion so that my coach has the best chance of being "the best coach" it can be. Taking a trip is no fun if it has a problem while away from home, as we all know too well. Kudos to all of you for your input that would cost a fortune to find and fix all the little gizmo's that can (and sometimes do!) go wrong. We all drive a great product, but it is the keeping it "great" that can break you if you do not follow this Forum.
Well done to the top guys down.

Is the other "active" group you are referring to the iRV2 group? Last post in June or so? :D This group is definitely the happening Foretravel group! Or is there another of which I am unaware?

Acousticart (Don) asked: "Is the other "active" group you are referring to the iRV2 group?"

I would think FT Motorcade might be the other group, although they don't have an active website.

That was my thought as well, and we fill completely different roles and complement each other.

"We all drive a great product, but it is the keeping it "great" that can break you if you do not follow this Forum"

Before talking to a mechanic I always check the Forum to make sure I have an understanding of what may be needed and so I can speak "mechanic".  Great, great ideas and information. I have met quite a few FT owners that have major issues that did not know of the Forum. These issues would not have been major if they followed this Forum...FWIW

Yes it is the motorcade group. We belong to two great chapters and there is a lot of hands on information at the rallies.
