FANTASTIC FAN USE

This is a crazy question but??  When it best to run your fantastic fan.  We only have one and it is in the commode area.  I know you need it to remove certain odors but what about other times? Today we are at Chotaw in Durant.  Diesel was $351/9.    Also my aux compressor comes on about every six hours and runs for about 8 to 10 minutes.  Is this normal??  Tks DAN

We use our Fantastic Fan anytime it's cool enough to have the windows open.  It works best with some fresh air make up (as does the oven fan), so at least crack a window if you're using either to "clear the air" (especially when flushing the commode or dumping the black tank).

I run my fan whenever I want to pull in fresh air and it is cool enough as well. No it should not run every six hours. You have a leak somewhere. It is usually under the step or even the retarder air control sometimes.  Mine comes on about once every few days if I am out for a while.

Use the fan after showering to remove humidity.  Do NOT use it when the toilet valve is open.

Other times as suggested depends on whether you want to pull in outside air.

My wife loves hot, steamy showers, so I turn it on whenever we take a shower to keep the humidity down.

Once every six hours suggests a leak somewhere. Spray bottle of soapy water and go leak hunting. Block coach up per previous posts before you go under rig. Start at pump, those connections get the most vibration

One of these days I want to rewire my fan so I can choose the direction of airflow.  A few years ago, we had our SOB at a music festval, and we discovered the marijuana smoke didn't travel above roof level.  Having the normal airflow would suck all that smoke into the motorhome, but reversing the airflow would bring clean air in and keep the smoke out, even when the door was open.
