squirrel cage exhaust fan in inverter storage bay

Noticed today the small squirrel exhaust fan is not running and is extremely hot to touch.  Disconnected and it is a 120 volt fan.  Does anyone have a part # or know where to obtain a replacement fan?  This is located in the inverter storage bay.  Tks DAN

Is it a Dayton 4C441 blower?  If so, Amazon and Grainger both show a replacement of 1TDN6 (the 4C441 is showing as no longer available).

Hi Dan,

If it is trying to run and is warm, the windings probably are still OK. Have you considered taking the fan apart to clean and oil the bearings?

Dan, if I have this correct, it is thermostatic controlled.  You can test by using ice or heat against the thermostat to see if that impacts.  I think though that if you do not have the adjustable thermostat it is set at 90 degrees.

However as it is hot in the bay and I imagine that you have measured the bay temp, then the thermostat is not likely the problem,  and you need a fan if the cleaning does not solve.  As for the fan, I got one from FOT if you do not find elsewhere.

I have ordered a new fan from Zorotools thru Amazon $59.64 with free shipping.  Yes, there is an adjustable thermostat and it is set about 90.  Now how do I cut the power to this fan as it is 115 volts???  Is it inside the cover on the opposite bay on the Driver's side??  Tks DAN

Unplug the coach and make sure the inverter isn't on?

OK Got the squirrel cage fan in and installed.  Appears that I must have tripped a breaker somewhere.  This line also has a 110 plug in this bay and I have my external refrig and freezer plugged in.  It has no power either.  So the question is where do I find the breaker or ??? for this bay 110/115 plug??  This is the front right storage bay (Entrance side) and also has a tv and 12 volt plug in this bay.  Tks DAN

Dan: I believe all of the 120v AC breakers are on the bed pedestal at the foot of the bed. I have two panels, do not know which has the outlets in the basement.

I wasn't lucky enough to have a fan in the inverter bay and after adding a freezer it was evident that one was needed. Temperatures were exceeding 110F. I installed two  AcoustiFan™ DustPROOF Quiet Computer Case Fans - 120mm. They are controlled by a 80-90F snap disc thermostat. System has been in about a year.

Ok, Cked all the breakers in front of bed.  Did find a lot of 12 volt fuses there so now I know where they are. None of the breakers needed resetting.  No power to the bay.  It occurred to me it could be set up on the trip plug in the bath room as it might be considered an outdoor plug.  This is what had tripped.  Push the button on the plug in the bathroom and bingo.  Fan working and power just as it is supposed to be.  So lesson learned that it is tied to the bathroom circuit.  Tks DAN

Good job Dan. That's good information. On my schematics it looks like that fan is connected directly and not through the GFCI. So, I will remember what you found.
